Tidying up

I hate cleaning up after other people. I hate lazy people who make me clean up after them. I hate the parents who fail at their job and produce these people. Well... maybe thats a little unfair.

Star Trek

I love Star Trek. Man do I ever. I been playing Star Trek Armada a lot. Wasting time, bringing myself ever closer to my departure.

Gonna try to reach Tyrone again before I leave. He wants me to come to Victoria.

No more camera

So, I was gonna buy this digital camera from Brent. Would have been awesome for me because it took floppies. The problem is it had no charger for the battery. I call the Sony Store to check on the price and they tell me a hundred bucks. No way.

I guess maybe I'll have to go buy a digital camera and use those stupid little memory cards. That means I'll have to use the WebStation and pay to upload all my photos. Sorry folks, no daily pics from Vancouver.

Oh, and Kyleen rules.

Another Day

I am just wasting my days away. So anxious I can't even do anything constructive. I want to sit down and do my network+ before I leave but I am just antsy.

I think I'm gonna buy a stack of fifty CDRs tomorrow so I can save all my course ware I grabbed online while in Toronto. I got me all kinds of expensive courses from learnkey. I go to this awesome torrent site called bitme.org where it's all IT and educational stuff.

Still waiting to find Kyleen online.

New Beginnings

Well, it's the new year. I feel very enthusiastic about it. I am so anxious to arrive in Vancouver.

Seems Brent is for sure coming with. I'm gonna take his picture today and post it on here sos you can all see what he looks like. Him and his girlfriend will be coming.

Disappointed

I go to sxe.com and I start reading the front page. This guy is like if you dont like hard core you're not straight edge, if you stopped being straight edge for a time then you are not now straight edge...

I then go into the site's forum and read this one thread. One guy starts out questioning how all these 'hard core' and 'straight edge' members haven't even heard of minor threat (good fucking question). He suggests, rather strongly, that they all ought to drop the whole 'straight edge for life' line.

I read on and these people who respond don't even know who minor threat is, claim they didn't start the whole straight edge thing. I quote- "Who is this mysterious minor threat you speak of?", "just wanted you to know: they didn't invent straight edge". Idiots.

Ian McKay first coined the term 'straight edge'. It was the name of one of their songs and was almost the name of their band. The term means to have an edge in life because you're straight, as in sober.

Identifying yourself with a group of people like that without knowing the history is just plain stupid. What if they were some kinda cult, keeping their members poison free to be eaten later on by The Leader or someone? Its stupid shit like this that turned me off identifying with edgers before.

sXe again

Well, I'm going back to the straight-edge lifestyle. Been some time since I lived that way. I know that it is what is right for me.

Some of you reading this are probably sure I'm saying this all for your benefit- fuck you. get off your high horse. I live my life for me.

I know that if I am to successfully live my dream, I need to be sXe. It doesn't mean I'll never sit down for a beer with any of you, or smoke a fine cigar. It just means I won't be getting drunk or high to have fun or relieve stress (escape).

I'm not the sort of edger who wants to be poison free or who wants to never use a crutch. I just won't use poisons as a crutch.

I like the new blog. I've been at it all afternoon learning to tweak the blogger code through trial and error. I figured out I can put in javascript of my own too.

The slideshow isn't working the way I want it yet, but it'll improve. I got me a digital camera now so I'll be able to pst new pics regularly... okay, daily. I love taking pictures.
